The 2009 AGM and the Board election shall take place at 11:00 am, on April 19, 2009 at 11 Progress Avenue, Unit 14 Toronto, Ontario. All voting members, including the founding members and those who wish to be candidates for the election are invited to attend the AGM.

According to the Constitution and Bylaw, only those who pay their yearly contribution fee of $500.00 or more are qualified to be candidates for the election. However, all interested candidates must inform the Board and register their candidacy one week prior to the AGM.

All candidates must show their interest or willingness to accept the position as directors of the Board if elected, one week prior to the election date.

If no candidates are registered, the current Board will elect a candidate to be the new Chair who will appoint the other directors to the Board at the AGM. All appointed or nominated directors must be further approved by a majority vote in the first Board meeting，called by the Chair, before they can be recognized as official directors of the Foundation.

We welcome anybody who would like to become a director candidate of the Foundation or become a member of the Executive Committee. The members of the Executive Committee are nominated by the Board.

All candidates and voters must show up in the AGM, unless approval is given by the Board due to special and acceptable reasons, for which a stamped proxy will be sent out or delivered to the qualified voters on request.
